When you cooperate with the Chinese foundry in the speaker, do you often receive such a reply when you call to check delivery period?
China's audio manufacturing industry is famous all over the world for its complete industrial structure.
In China, you can find any speaker-related parts or assembly factories to produce OEM for you.
Taking Guangzhou AUSMAN Audio's cooperative customers as an example, our OEM customers account for more than 70%, ODM customers account for about 20%, and one part is SKD parts procurement cooperation.
Either way, delivery time is crucial for both production and sales.
Here, we list the factors that affect the delivery of loudspeakers from Chinese assembly suppliers.
It will help you if you plan or are working with Chinese suppliers.
1. Reasonable Production Plan
Assembly plants generally formulate production plans in units of production lines.
In the assembly workshop of AUSMAN, the maximum production capacity of a single assembly line: 1500-2000 sets/day of plastic boxes, 300-500 pairs/day of floor-standing speakers.
Making a reasonable production plan can ensure smooth production and on-time delivery.
2. The Materials Are Delayed
Insufficient material preparation will lead to suspension of product production and decrease in output.
According to the bill of materials(BOM List) of AUSMAN Audio, taking a party speaker with a rod as an example, more than 40 parts and materials need to be prepared.
These materials include main materials such as speaker casing, PCB board, chip, frequency divider, power amplifier board, tie rod, etc., as well as accessories such as screws, pulleys, and fixing clips.
Materials come from different suppliers, and the absence of any one material could halt production.
3. The Order Demand Exceeds The Supply Capacity
In an assembly plant, the production capacity of the production line determines whether it can meet the order delivery ability.
If there are too many orders in the assembly suppliers, the delivery date of the order cannot be guaranteed, and failures may occur due to overloading of the production line (equipment failure and personnel problems).
4. Equipment Factors
Equipment plays an important role in the suppliers, and if the equipment is not fully utilized, it will affect the output.
The direct result of the failure is the shutdown of the production line. If the maintenance time is too long, the output will not meet the expectation, which will eventually affect the delivery date.
5. Delay Caused By Quality Problems
Product quality problems may occur during production and after-sales.
The reason may be caused by equipment failure, detection instrument problem, human negligence, storage environment and collision in the later logistics and transportation process.
The general countermeasure is to redo and repair the problem batches. No matter what kind of solution, it will take time.
6. Logistics and Transportation
After the OEM assembly suppliers completes the production, we can start to arrange warehouse booking, customs declaration and other work.
Speaker products are heavy goods, and the logistics method is usually by sea.
This involves whether the container can be booked, shipping time and weather factors may affect the time when the goods arrive at the port of destination.
7. Legal Factors
Whether you adopt ODM OEM production or ODM new brand customization cooperation, you need to respect local laws and regulations, including trademark laws.
In case of prohibited goods and trademark infringement, China Customs will detain your goods and may cause legal proceedings.

Conclusion
We list the factors and countermeasures that affect the delivery of loudspeakers from Chinese assembly suppliers, hoping to help those companies and buyers who are or plan to cooperate with Chinese suppliers.
In addition, our analysis may not be comprehensive, and a small part of the cooperation may affect the order delivery.
Some problems are not caused by Chinese suppliers. We once encountered a customer whose entire order was delayed for 15 days because of the outer packaging design.
